Our Story

Frisch’s originally opened in 1948 as Carrick Poultry by Albert Bolz, father of RoseMarie (Bolz) Frisch. In 1958 the business was purchased by Jack Frisch, husband of RoseMarie. In 1963 when broasted chicken originated, Jack started what would become his famous broasted chicken. At this time the company was still called Carrick Poultry. Fresh Poultry, Fresh Seafood & Broasted Chicken created the foundation to build a strong family business. Looking to expand, Chicken Derby then located in Baldwin Courts was opened in the late 1960’s. By 1976, it was time to expand again. The original Caste Village Carrick Poultry location opened and Dennis Frisch started on his career. By then Carrick Poultry had added pizza, hoagies and a Deli of the finest meats and cheeses. Business grew and soon this location was too small. In, 1991 Carrick Poultry moved into, what was at one time, the A&P Grocery Store location in Caste Village. The move across the parking lot brought big changes for the company. From these first rate facilities, the smell of fresh homemade soup brought customers into the new restaurant. Now, for the first time Frisch’s had a full service restaurant, deli banquet room and catering kitchen to go along with its core business. Sherry Frisch, Dennis’ wife, expanded the catering service into the business it is today. No job is too big or small. They are ready, along with a team of dedicated long term employees, to make your event enjoyable and easy. With a new location, 3 generations of family members all working together, there was only one more change needed. A few years ago, Frisch’s Carrick Poultry became Frisch’s.
